Equipment and Fittings

When using a home conservatory all year round, conditions have to be created in it which make the ambiance comfortable and cosy for people and plants alike: effective shading and ventilation in summer, pleasant warmth during the cold part of the year.

Before deciding to buy, the customer should obtain detailed information about the most important criteria for the selection of materials and accessories: heat-insulated aluminium profiles, type of glazing (insulating glass, heat or sun protection glass, safety glass), modern heating and air-conditioning systems.

Light, air, moisture and heat are especially important for both people and plants. The climate in the home conservatory reacts quickly to changing weather conditions. Intensive sunlight can rapidly lead to the room overheating, possibly causing damage to fittings and plants during heat waves.

Several variable factors like the sun, time of day, wind and rain, snow, inside and outside temperature have to be evaluated together and taken into account for optimum climate control. It is hardly possible to meticulously reduce or increase the heat supply manually or ventilate or provide moisture at just the right time.

Automatic climate control is therefore a wise investment. A modern automatic control system responds quickly to climatic fluctuations, switching on and off automatically. Other advantages are the economic and ecological aspects of these heating and air-conditioning systems. They utilise the resources provided by nature to use energy economically and without any heat loss or emission of pollutants – for the sake of the environment.

The Elsner ventilation systems and the Panasonic heating/air-conditioning system make a valuable contribution towards creating an effective “active” home conservatory in which living becomes and exciting experience. Optimum antiglare is achieved through the use of electronically controlled awnings and other types of shading which can be fitted in the most varied colour variations.
